Michael is the Chief Executive at REALPAC, with overall responsibility for the success of the organization and the industry, including events, government relations, research, standards and best practice, and education. Michael was formerly a commercial real estate lawyer and partner, and the real estate practice group leader, at a major Canadian law firm.
Michael enjoys playing hockey, golf, cycling – anything active – and loves his music, cars, sci-fi and physics in any down time.

As part of the senior management team, Nancy is responsible for all REALPAC financial and reporting matters, as well as developing financial and reporting best practices for the industry. She works with the Real Estate Equity Securitization Alliance (REESA), a global coalition of real estate associations, in advocacy efforts with the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). In 2017, she was appointed to the Accounting Standards Board of Canada which serves the public interest by establishing standards for financial reporting by Canadian entities and influencing the development of international standards. She previously worked with PWC in the audit practice and CPA Ontario teaching at the School of Accountancy.
Nancy enjoys hanging out with her family – playing video games with her 3 boys, golfing with her husband, and enjoying the outdoors with her 3 dogs.

She also plays a lead role in the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and REALconnect mentoring initiatives.
An urban planner by education, Carolyn is always planning her next international travel destination or is on a horseback riding adventure with her Friesian.

Sandra Dos Santos

Sandra oversees legal and compliance matters at REALPAC and is responsible for the development, management and delivery of services to support the needs of members, particularly in the fund management and lending space. She manages industry partner relationships and an international alliance of fund management associations (AIFA), and forms part of the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion committee.
In her spare time, Sandra spends her time in chilly hockey rinks supporting her goalie son or toiling in her expansive gardens dreaming of her future homestead.

Darryl is responsible for supporting and leading the Canadian real estate industry on ESG best practices, research and education. Darryl was formerly the head of sustainability at a major Canadian real estate organization where he oversaw strategy, programs and reporting across their diversified, global portfolio.
Darryl enjoys hockey, golf, cottaging and travelling – and loves creating and eating delicious plant-based burgers in his spare time.

Steven is responsible for leading REALPAC’s government relations practice and providing policy advice to its members. Prior to joining REALPAC, Steven provided leadership in public service accountability and program reporting, data and insight generation, and corporate strategy for the City Manager’s Office and the Housing Secretariat at the City of Toronto.
Steven enjoys travelling to hard-to-reach places with his partner, camping with family and friends, or trying wizard themed recipes with his kids.

Daniela is responsible for leading and supporting key ESG projects and events at REALPAC. Prior to joining REALPAC, Daniela worked at a major Canadian real estate organization where she led the tenant engagement program, collaborating with key tenants, asset and property teams to make sustainable change.
Daniela is often found making the most of her leisure time travelling to new places, attempting a recipe, or enjoying the outdoors on a patio with a beverage!

Kelsey is responsible for overseeing the production and logistical planning/execution of all member events including the REALPAC Executive Member Summit, the Executive Road trip, virtual webinars, AGM and special receptions. In addition, Kelsey manages the Real Property Investment Certificate (RPIC) Program and all REALPAC educational offerings. Prior to joining REALPAC, Kelsey was an account coordinator at Canada’s leading student leisure company, as well as a Toronto based events marketing company.
Kelsey is a lover of rosé, pizza and country music. In her spare time, Kelsey loves to travel, ski and attempt to golf!

An experienced professional, Carla supports the Chief Executive Officer and the entire REALPAC team. She is central to coordinating meetings with our members and stakeholders. She uses her strong organizational and administrative skills to ensure the office runs smoothly.
In her spare time, Carla loves spending time with her family, creating journals, traveling, learning history, and exploring philosophy.

Maha supports the Vice President, Financial Reporting & Chief Financial Officer in managing all day-to-day accounting activities. She oversees maintenance of REALPAC’s general ledger and assures that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with REALPAC’s accounting policies. Prior to joining REALPAC, Maha was an Accountant at Primaris Management Inc. where she was responsible for the financial reporting of several properties in her portfolio.
Maha takes any opportunity to explore the world. She hopes to travel to fifty countries by fifty.

Minakshi manages REALPAC’s integrated marketing communications activities including corporate communications, print and digital media. She also sits on REALPAC’s ED&I Committee. She has worked in Canada and internationally with some of the world’s biggest brands and governments at national and international level.
Minakshi enjoys nothing more than a long road trip – she hopes to one day do the drive from Victoria, BC to St. John’s, NL.

As part of the REALPAC Marketing and Communications team Scott develops, designs and art directs corporate communications, print and digital media. He brings a wealth of prior work experience as the Senior Designer for MacLaren:McCann Advertising for over 8 years before running his own successful communications design company.
Scott enjoys inspiring exterior and interior design and can often be found sketching out his own landscape or carpentry project.

Celeste leads and supports research projects and activities at REALPAC. She co-chairs the REALPAC Research Committee with REALPAC CEO, Michael Brooks. Her prior work experience includes communications and stakeholder relations work with the provincial government, and at a law firm that specializes in class action and labour law litigation.
Celeste enjoys yoga, travel and fostering dogs. She is always looking for a good murder mystery.
